Brenda2.jpg (445359 bytes) Brenda lost her fight to cancer in October 2006.  We will miss her  and will cherish our time we had with her.  She was a great instructor who loved the dogs, the students and the sport.

Brenda Bailey, Agility Class Instructor
I got my first dog when I was 5 years old. She was a beautiful Border Collie mix that lived to the age of 19 yrs old. She taught me alot about dog training. I was so amazed how eager she was to learn so I checked out every book in the library about dog training.  By the time I was 12 I had trained my dog and all my friends dogs, too.  I was hooked.  I currently have 2 Border Collies that I adopted from rescue.
Miranda AX AXJ AD SSA NAC NJC NGC CGC TDI.  She enjoys visiting the local nursing home.
Nike NA OAJ CGC FD FDX FDCh FDCh-s is a great agiity and flyball dog and they both enjoy performing with the Rock N Roll K9s.
As for myself I enjoy teaching agility and have attended many seminars.  I also volunteer for the Animal Rescue MI Border Collie Rescue and have taking in many "untrainable" dogs and turned them into wonderful pets!!

I started my dog training career with a mix breed with behavioral problems.  I became hooked. At this time I own Belgian Sheepdogs and Golden Retrievers. Since 1976,  I have finished over 90 plus titles on a variety of breeds with  titles and wins that exceed what I can count or put on paper!  But they include Conformation, Obedience, Agility and field and herding titles.  The highlights are:  12 UD's, 2 Master Agility Champions, 4 Conformation Champions,  Belgian Sheepdog Club of America Best in Specialty Show, Westminster Kennel Club Best of Breed & Purina Invitational Best of Breed, 50+ High in Trials, Group Placements.  My dogs have been seen in commercials, advertisements, Wide World of Sports, Animal Planet and cable shows.  I have toured with Superdogs across Canada and I have qualified, attended and placed with several dogs at many obedience trial tournaments including Gaines Regionals and Detroit Windsor World Series.
But my proudest moments are when the CCC students achieve their goals and dreams with their dogs!      THAT IS WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT!!!

Dena A M Norton – Tuesday evening Puppy Class
When I got my English Springer Spaniel puppy, Izzee, in 1999, I hadn’t had a dog since I was a kid.  Neither my husband nor I knew how to housebreak or train a puppy, so I looked for help.  I found the CCC, and after Puppy Class, Izzee and I took Beginner Obedience and Canine Good Citizen classes.  By then we were hooked.  We have gone on to get CD’s in 4 registries, as well as our Rally Novice title. We are working on Open and Utility obedience exercises, as well as preparing to start agility competition soon.
In 2004, I wanted to get another Springer, but the time was not right for a puppy in my household.  Luckily for me, Linda asked me to help out with puppy classes, so I got my craving satisfied with other people’s puppies.  A year later, the right time and the right puppy came along. Ford has now lived with us for over a year, and is also having fun at CCC.  He earned his CGC, and is learning exercises for obedience and Rally, as well as teaching me how to have even more fun as a trainer

leslie.jpg (40990 bytes) Hi I'm Leslie Kozlowski, Intro to Obstacles Agility Class Instructor
I've had dogs all my life and raised Leader Dogs as a 4-H project. This led to a lifetime of dabbling in all different dog sports. My previous dog was a Rhodesian Ridgeback named Max. We earned titles in conformation, obedience, agility and lure coursing. I currently have a rescued Dalmatian named Chip- who makes us laugh every day and is truly a clown. He has titles in obedience, and agility and recently earned his Rally Excellent title. My border collie Justin is my heart and soul. He also earned his Rally Excellent title last summer and is just starting to compete in agility. I love to win, but more importantly I LOVE to enjoy the journey with my dogs, and promise to make training fun for both you and your dog

MoeandGibbs.jpg (56114 bytes) Maureen Foley & Gibbs Ch, UDX - Day Utility Class Instructor
It started with a mixed breed then in 1975 a Collie who couldn't see well enough to jump and couldn't smell well enough to find the next piece of hotdog only a foot past the last one.  From there I was hooked!  Then came the trio of Am/CAN CH, CAN OTCh, U-CDX, UDTX, CAN TDX bitches, CoCo, Caper, and Folly; all their titles came in the 1980s. In 1990 Gofer was born and he became CH, U-CDX Gofer UDTX, CAN CDX, CAN TD.  He earned a Dog World Award for earning his CD, CDX, and UD within one year. The dog most people know best is Luther: BIS/multi-BISS AM/CAN/UKC CH, U-CDX, U-Ag1 Cinema I Have A Dream VCD2, UDTX.  A sweet boy with a wonderful temperament he has been a great ambassador for my breed.  I have worked a number of other dogs and titled them in obedience and/or tracking; there are 10 TDXs and 14 TDs to our credit.  I have produced two litters under the PathFinder kennel name; the most recent from AM/CAN/UKC CH Widget CD,TDX.  I am currently working her son, Gibbs.  At four years old he is a breed Ch and is working to complete a UDX and hopefully an OTCh.  I train at least five days each week and compete regularly in obedience trials. My husband and I are both now retired and enjoying life!
Laura&Jubi.jpg (44293 bytes) Laura Kosnak & Jubi MX, MXJ, CD- Puppy Class Instructor
Warning!!!  Dog training is Addictive!  51/2 years ago I started  with one beginner Obedience class.  Since then I've added Agility/Rally/Therapy/Freestyle, joined the RockNRoll performance team and added a 2nd dog.  A lot of people are surprised to see a Yorkie doing Obed/Agility.  Jubilee has been featured in the Detroit News, Yorkie calendar and magazine.   CCC is a great place to train any size or breed of dog. Even if you never win a blue ribbon or earn a title - the special bond you form with your dog will last a lifetime. The wonderful Friends you make along the way = priceless.   I love teaching puppy class to show people that dog training is fun and games. I love to see how much the dogs and people have evolved over the 6 weeks.  They are always amazed at what their puppies can do.   If we can teach people to solve problem behaviors - we could save a dog from ending up in a shelter and become a joy to have around instead.      Laura lives with 2 Yorkies   Jubilee and Jazzy Lee and a cockatoo named Chloe Bird

Jolene Roudebush -  Agility Class Instructor
I am a Die Designer for General Motors and I live in Troy with my husband and two Papillion’s. My passions in life are agility, Papillion’s, and dog training in general. I have been an agility instructor for Canine Community Center for since 2001. I love working as an instructor and helping teach other people to train their dogs. Although small dogs fit my current lifestyle, I grew up on a dairy farm in southwestern Michigan and owned and trained a variety of medium and large dogs. These included, Australian Shepherds and a German Shepherd who was my 4-H dog.
My last three dogs have all been Papillions. I have obtained a variety of titles on them in tracking, obedience, and agility, in the U.S. , Canada , and Bermuda . In 2005 I competed with my Papillion, Bugs, in the AKC Agility Nationals in Tampa , Florida . Bugs has his MX and MXJ titles in agility and is working towards his Masters Agility Champion (MACH) title.
I have attended many dog training seminars and camps to become a better agility trainer and handler. These include, Clean Run Camp and other seminars by well known instructors such as,  Susan Garrett, Stuart Mah, Kathy Keats, Ruth Hobday, and Bud Huston. In addition to agility training I have attended ten obedience camps/seminars, two dog behavior seminars and three seminars related to dog’s health and conditioning issues over the past several years.

Jane Attaman and MACH Frisbee
When I got my first dog for my young children 18 years ago, I took an Adult Education class in obedience so that my Cairn Terrier would be a good house pet.  Little did I know that he would go on to earn his CD and CDX obedience titles in AKC and UKC, and become one of the top ranking Cairns in Canada.  Combined with my love of dogs, and my career as an elementary school teacher, I began teaching obedience classes.  My first Papillon earned her UD, and was responsible for getting me involved in conformation, tracking, and breeding.  When we started agility, I knew I found my niche! My Papillons have ranked in Front and Finish, and have qualified to compete in six AKC Nationals.  They also have titles in USDAA and NDAC.  My youngest Papillon just completed her MACH and is well on her way to MACH II.  All of my dogs have belonged on the Rock-n-Roll K-9's Performance Team, worked in my classroom teaching pet responsibility, and have been therapy dogs for nursing homes and hospitals.  Training and competing with my own dogs, and teaching others is my passion!

hmmm...I didn't know we trained GIRAFFES !!!!

Bonnie Flowers and Cutter  Advanced Class Instructor
I help Linda teach the Competition Obedience Class on Tuesday nights.  It has been one of the highlights of "My life with Dogs" (as if I have one without them:) to work with her and watch her work her magic on every conceivable combination of dogs and handlers.  The wealth of knowledge and understanding that is so generously shared with all of her CCC students is truly awe inspiring.  I find that every student that has so kindly shared their dogs, their wisdom and yes even their problems with me has helped me to grow as a trainer and instructor and for that I am so very grateful to each and everyone of them.  Hopefully they have enabled me to pass on their collective wisdom to all the new students both human and canine that I will be meeting in the future.
I am owned by two wonderful herding dogs.  Mishka my eleven year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi who took me on the most incredible journey any dog trainer could ask for Novice A to OTCH .  And my young Border Collie Cutter who is following in his big sisters footsteps with 96 OTCh points and taking me places that I had thus far only dreamed about.  I am so very lucky to be able to share my life with these two wonderful dogs, they are without a doubt the best buddies I could ever have wished for.

Jack (Jim) of all trades at CCC)

Started training my first dog a cocker spaniel with my wife Pam back in August of 1982 it was just “home obedience”. The class was given by a friend David Rays who had Flat Coated Retrievers. Bitten by the bug, I needed more classes to go on... That is when I met Linda Brady. She was one of my first training instructors for obedience. Linda was a big help in pointing me in the right direction with obedience. In 1983 we got our 2nd dog a Flat Coated Retrievers and have been involved with this breed since. And many Flat Coats later -- I have been involved in:  Conformation, Obedience, Agilityand Breeding, as well as field. I have also been an active member of the Flat-Coated Retriever Society of America including Past President of the Mid West Flat-Coated Retriever club.

KathyBrunner&Arrow.jpg (39573 bytes) Kathy Brunner, Puppy Class Instructor
I started training dogs in 1992 when I got my first sheltie, Popcorn. She was so smart that I had to try to get an obedience title on her, even though I didn't know what I was doing. She quickly earned her CD and CDX, and then, we decided to try this new sport, agility, to build her confidence. She became the first dog in Northern Virginia to earn an AKC agility title. Sheltie #2, Buttons, came along in 1995, and since he wouldn't do agility, we had to find another outlet for his energy, and we started herding. All in all, I have earned approximately 20 obedience titles, 25 agility titles, and 5 herding titles with my 5 shelties. I am most proud of the fact that I was able to put obedience, herding and agility titles on a rescue sheltie who was nearly euthanized for having bad skin problems. I have taught agility classes inVirginia and Michigan since 1994.
